Nancy Alfs, M.A.
Nancy been in the holistic healing arts since 1997 and brings extensive training in bodywork, body psychotherapy and energy work to each massage and Acutonics® session. Her primary massage training from BMSI Institute (1999) in Overland Park, Kansas and Ralph Stephens established a therapeutic foundation in the clinical setting. She became more curious about how touch affects the emotions and enrolled at Naropa University in Boulder, CO, graduating with an M.A. in Body Psychotherapy (2005), and Ron Kurtz’s Hakomi Method (2007); those studies offered a framework to work with clients as whole beings, rather than isolated parts of mind and body. Nancy’s first experience with Acutonics® was as a client, navigating a health and spiritual crisis. Acutonics ® offered a non-invasive, physical intervention that was supportive. Practicing Actutonics since 2008, Nancy has found this modality incorporates her accumulative training into a compassionate package she is privileged to offer at The Harmonic Spa.
